good times, good friends and my pressing issues…

Apollogies for the hiatus of entries. I’m pushing about 15 days now… a true bloggery faux pas.

I have been moving, celebrating, working, chauffeuring, packing, unpacking, reading, watching, drinking, eating, djing and sleeping. Basically, everything I want to be doing right now accept for blogging… but I promise this gap is over and I will jump back on this bandwagon of indie expression and discussion.

Christmas was great… Totally blessed with a White one, all my gifts were well received, I also got some of the most amazing gifts I have ever received and felt extremely loved by my family, Carly and other friends.

I have been feeling a bit weird about moving… It’s causing a lot of stress and insecurity in my life and in my relationships but I am working through it. I am stoaked about my future but worried about how my life will change and how my relationships will be affected. Most prominently Carly and I but also my relationships with other friends and family. I know its just a case of “cold feet” and life will go on, but it still has been a pressing issue.

My biggest issues at the current moment…. (any help much aprriciated)

1) Figuring out how to tell my boss of 3 months that I am leaving the company in just over 2 weeks. (plan on telling him this friday and f.y.i. he’s sub par with managerial communication).

example phone call from 2 days ago:

Me: (8:45 AM) “Mark, I am feeling pretty sick today. I woke up with a fever and don’t think I can come in.

Mark: ……..(long pause)……………Ok…

Me: “Are there any big events going on today?”

Mark: “Ummm….(more long pauses)…. No…..”

Me: “Alright, we’ll I guess I will just plan on seeing you Thursday then.”

Mark:. …….(very long pause)… alright then.

…these instances discontinuing will be worth the conflict…

2) Figuring out what to bring, and how I will get all of my ISH to New Zealand. As of now here is the desired travel list… (subject to drastic change)

Winter Clothes

Snowboarding gear

2 snowboards

Summer Clothes

Dress Clothes

3 pairs of shoes (dress, Athletic and Casual)

Hiking boots

My computer and other assorted small techie items

hiking backpack

2 turntables and a battle mixer

(right now I am thinking I will bring my new HUGE snowboard bag packed to the brim, and then get a giant rubbermaid tub with wheels and a handle for all of my other gear… it would work well for traveling and moving around a lot wouldn’t it?… any comments are greatly appreciated.)

3) Trying to figure out transferring, paying and recieving the Rent, Bills, and Lease crap from my old ballard house… its like a 3 ring circus trying to organize everything and schedule meetings between the landlord, new tenants, old roommates and my dad. not to mention trying to transfer damage deposits, old accounts and fixing things I can fix in order to receive the majority of our deposit back.

4) Trying to find out where Best Buy sent my flippin’ Ipod to fix it almost 3 weeks ago… that lame geek squad leader said it would be like 5 business days MAX, and all this while I have been music free while carousing about or resorting to talk radio in the car (570, the commentators) which I don’t hate… but, just makes me feel like I’m about 48 years old and thinking about running for the Ballard community council.

Thats it for now peeps… more to come soon

One Response to “good times, good friends and my pressing issues…”

  1. I guess it depends on how “HUGE” your board bag is… mine doesn’t have any extra room after the board, boots, and snow gear. And does it have backpack straps? If it doesn’t, I can’t imagine trying to maneuver it everywhere. :)
